Federal Long Term Care Insurance

If you are affiliated with the U.S. government, you may be able to buy long term care insurance through the Federal Long Term Care Insurance Program (FLTCIP). Most Federal and U.S. Postal Service employees and annuitants, active and retired members of the uniformed services, and their qualified relatives are eligible to apply for coverage under FLTCIP.

The long term care insurance available through FLTCIP may or may not be more affordable than private long term care insurance.
